The island covers an area of 1.69 square kilometers and is adjacent to the Sai Kung Peninsula in the north, as well as Tsung Chau, Tam Mun Kau, Ko Lau Wan, Chek Chau Kau, Chek Chau, Tai Tan Hai, and Wan Chai Peninsula. The Tin Hau Temple on the island is popular among fishermen, especially during major festivals. In addition, the Environmental Protection Department has set up an air pollution index monitoring station to assess the impact of urban pollution on the surrounding areas and provide policy references.
Tap Mun used to be a bustling fishing village but has now become a picturesque grassland. The sea here is clear with a hint of green and blue, making it a great spot for photography enthusiasts. The cows on the island are also a unique feature, but travelers should watch out for cow dung on the ground. If you enjoy mountain hiking, you can go to Maoping Mountain, which has yet to be developed and only has trails created by hikers. Transportation MTR: Take the East Rail Line of Hong Kong MTR to Tai Wo Station Exit B, then turn left and follow the signs to arrive at Ma Liu Shui Ferry Pier, and then take a ferry to Tam Mun.
