Introduction

The main cathedral of the Epiphany, located on the banks of the Angara River and adjacent to the Spasskaya Tserkov church, was originally built in 1693 as a wooden church. Unfortunately, a fire in 1716 caused damage to the church. However, in 1718, it was rebuilt in stone in the historic center of Irkutsk, becoming the second oldest stone structure in the region. The exterior and interior decorations were designed to be extremely exquisite, leaving people amazed.
