Introduction

Kumadachi Palace is located on the slopes of Mt. Shozu in Kagawa Prefecture, with an elevation of 521 meters. It is the official place of worship for the sea guardian deity known as "Kumabiru". It is said that Kumabiru is a divine being capable of healing diseases, avoiding misfortune, and bringing good luck. Due to its long-standing belief, Kumadachi Palace has always been a popular pilgrimage site. In the 14th century during the Muromachi period, worship of Kumabiru was popular among the general public. Even now, many people come from all over the country to pay their respects.
