Introduction

Seogwipo Cape, also known as Seogwipo Gosu, is a famous tourist attraction on the eastern coast of Jeju Island. In ancient times, the area was known as "Seogwi" and "Gosu" was the local dialect, meaning a protruding terrain. On the cliff of the coast where Seogwipo Cape is located, there is a wide grassland without any tree coverage. A huge rock called "Immortal Rock" stands on the coastline. Seogwipo Cape became a popular tourist spot after being featured in the hit Korean drama "Lovers in Paris". Nowadays, more tourists come to visit and it has become a gathering place for Korean drama fans. In the area, there is also the "All in House" museum, which is Korea's oldest TV drama museum, where visitors can enjoy precious collections of classic Korean dramas. On the way to the lighthouse, there is a tall stone wall used as a windbreak, with a canola field inside. Every April, the yellow canola flowers decorate the entire area with a dazzling golden color. Standing on the other side of the road, you can look up at the coastline and feel the vastness and depth of the sea.
