Introduction
Bab Agnaou is one of the nineteen gates of Marrakech, built during the 12th century Almohad dynasty. It served as the official royal entrance to the palace. The name "Bab Agnaou" means "Gate of Agnaou" in Arabic, and it functions primarily as a decorative gate. During the reign of Sultan Muhammad ibn Abdallah in the mid-18th century, Bab Agnaou underwent renovations and was reduced in size. The predecessors of this gate, along with its Quranic inscriptions, can be found at the Mezquita-Cathedral in Cordoba. Additionally, Bab Agnaou bears resemblance to the contemporary Bab Er-Rouah gate in Rabat. Address Kasbah is located 20 meters north of Bab er Rob
