Introduction

Located in Tashkurghan Tajik Autonomous County, the Red Bridge Port has an elevation of over 5000 meters and is one of the highest-altitude ports in the world. It was officially opened to Pakistan in 1985 and to third-country nationals in 1986. This port was an important passage on the ancient Silk Road over a thousand years ago, and now it is a crucial gateway for China to Pakistan, South Asia, and Europe. The scenery here is majestic, but the environment is harsh, earning the nickname of the "Valley of Death". Many tourists come to the Red Bridge Port to take pictures at the China-Pakistan border pillar No. 7, where the solemn and dignified atmosphere is deeply loved by sightseers. Most of the residents living in the surrounding area of the Red Bridge Mountain Pass are Tajik people, known as "Heavenly People". Entering the area is like entering a "paradise on earth". The exquisite Tajik clothing, warm hospitality, and delicious Tajik cuisine all embody the purity, kindness, and friendliness of the Tajik people.

Transportation
From Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County to the Hongqilafu border monument, there is a 120-kilometer journey that takes 3 hours. There are many drivers waiting to take passengers to Hongqilafu at the Kashgar Bus Station and Pamir Hotel, and besides jeeps and Santana cars, some small trucks also come to do business, so it is not difficult to find a car. Usually, renting a car for a round trip costs 300 yuan. If you think it is too expensive, it doesn't matter because there are often students of different nationalities around who are waiting to find someone to share the rent with, and everyone can discuss how much to split. It is best to get friendly with the driver, because the beauty of the scenery on the road will far exceed your expectations, and you will want to stop frequently.
