Introduction
Lake Bogoria in eastern Kenya is a carbonate lake, not a freshwater lake, with an area of approximately 30 square kilometers. The lake is located north of Lake Baringo on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Every year from January to April, tens of thousands of lesser flamingos gather here, making Lake Bogoria their home. One of the unique features of the lake is the presence of many hot springs along its shores, most of which are boiling springs with heavy steam emissions. Additionally, the lake is rich in blue-green algae and diatoms, causing the surface to display different colors under sunlight, such as yellow, pink, and purple. Lake Bogoria has been designated as a national reserve in Kenya - Bogoria National Reserve. Address Marigat Loboi Road, Loboi, Baringo, Kenya
