Introduction
Giraffe Park, located in the Langata area of Nairobi, Kenya, about 5 kilometers from the city center, was established to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffes. These giraffes were once only found in the grasslands of East Africa. The park was founded by Jock Leslie-Melville, a Kenyan grandson of a Scottish count. Jock and his wife captured a baby giraffe and raised her in what is now Giraffe Park. Since its establishment, Giraffe Park has garnered widespread attention and acclaim. In recent years, the park has also sent several pairs of Rothschild giraffes to be reintroduced into the Kenya National Parks, a testament to their ongoing efforts for conservation.
