Introduction

Tiger Mouth Scenic Area is located in YuanYang Terrace District, covering nearly 12,000 acres of terraced fields including Mengpin, Dongpu, Amengkong, and Baoshanzhai. It is the most steep, majestic, spectacular, and largest scenic area in the terrace district. Its unique feature is its strong three-dimensional sense and intense color layering, giving people the feeling of a oil painting. The surrounding terraced fields have relatively steep slopes, and the Screw Terrace is a popular attraction, favored by photography enthusiasts. In addition, the sunset at Tiger Mouth is also a fantastic spectacle that should not be missed.

Transportation
【Shuttle bus】 1. Take the Kunming-Yuanyang shuttle bus at the South Bus Station of Kunming. There are three buses every day, departing at 10:20, 12:30 and 19:00 respectively. The ticket price is 139 yuan/person and the journey takes 5-6 hours. 2. Most of the buses from Kunming South Bus Station will go to Nansha Town, Xinjie Town and Nansha. Transportation between Nansha and Xinjie Town is very convenient, with mini cars running specifically between the two places (10 yuan/person, with rolling departure times from 7:00-20:00). There are also minivans available between Xinjie Town and the entrance of the scenic area, as well as between the entrance and various scenic areas. The ticket price is 5-10 yuan. 3. You can also take a bus from Kunming to Jianshui or Gejiu, and then transfer to another bus to Yuanyang. 【Chartered car】 Chartering a car for a day to visit the terraced fields in the old county town costs about 300 yuan. Going to Laohuzui costs about 100 yuan, and watching the sunrise at Duoyishu costs about 150-200 yuan/half a day.
