Introduction

Nantianmen is located in a low area between Feilongyan and Xiangfengling, sandwiched by two mountains and shaped like an open gate to the sky. It was founded by Busan Taoist Zhang Zhichun in the fifth year of Yuanzhong Tong (1264 AD). The gate is a loft-style building with three large characters "Nantianmen" carved on the stone archway. The gate body is decorated with red walls and yellow glazed tiles, and has a majestic momentum. There is also a couplet beside the gate, which describes the scenery here as spectacular, saying "The gate opens to the nine heavens, overlooking the three-day victory; The steps elevate to ten thousand levels, looking down upon the thousand peaks wonderland."
