Introduction

Zhongtian Gate is located at the intersection of the Taishan mountain climbing route and is a must-pass halfway point to the summit. The gate was built in the Qing Dynasty and is a two-pillar single-door stone archway. In ancient times, there were many tigers on Taishan, so a temple was built to worship the Black Tiger God north of the archway. Nowadays, the temple is dedicated to Caishen Zhao Gongyuan, who wields a whip and rides on a tiger. To the east of Zhongtian Gate is an antique teahouse, to the southwest is Zhongxi Hotel, and to the northwest is the Zhongtian Gate cable car station.

[External Transportation] 1. Take bus No. 14, 19, 45, K37, K3, K49 and get off at Hongmen Station to reach the entrance of Mount Tai Hongmen. 2. Take bus No. 19, K37, K39 Inner Ring, K39 Outer Ring, K3, K49 and get off at Tianwai Village Station to reach the entrance of Mount Tai Tianwai Village. 3. Take bus No. 19 and get off at Tianzhufeng Scenic Area Station to reach the entrance of Tianzhufeng. 4. Take bus K16, K49 and get off at Taohuayu Station to reach the entrance of Taohuayu.
