Introduction

Tianning Temple Pagoda, also known as Wenfeng Pagoda, is an important landmark building in Anyang Ancient City. It was first built in the second year of the Wenshun Period of the Later Zhou Dynasty (952 AD) and is famous for its unique umbrella-shaped architecture. The biggest feature of this ancient pagoda is its widening from top to bottom, using a brick and wood structure that gradually increases in size from bottom to top in an umbrella shape, which is the only one of its kind in China. The eight sides of the pagoda are also decorated with intricate and lifelike brick carvings, vividly displaying various Buddhist stories. Visitors can climb the 72 steps to the top of the Wenfeng Pagoda, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the ancient city of Anyang and enjoying a rare 10-meter-high stupa-shaped pagoda. In addition, Anyang has experienced two earthquakes of magnitude 7 or higher in history, but the umbrella-shaped Wenfeng Pagoda still stands, adding to the mystique of the ancient pagoda and leaving behind the mystery of the millennium. Visitors can come to Anyang to personally experience the Wenfeng Pagoda.
