Introduction

Halobates is a seemingly insignificant small insect, but it has made Lake Gahai an important wetland in the Qaidam Basin, attracting people's attention. Halobates eggs are also one of the important baits in the aquaculture industry, with prices once soaring to 7 million yuan per ton, known as "soft gold."
