Introduction
Buddhist temple Boao Zen Temple is located in Boao Water City, Qionghai, Hainan, the site where the Boao Forum for Asia was established and is facing the permanent site of the Boao Forum. The temple is built according to traditional Zen temple standards, with a north-south axis and extending from the Tonghui Gate, the Tianwang Hall, the Pujin Hall, the Daxiong Baodian to the Wanfo Tower. The bell tower, auxiliary halls, abbot's residence, reception hall and monk's accommodation are located on the east and west sides. The temple also houses twelve unique "Zodiac Kannon images" in the Pujin Hall. Climbing up the bird's-eye view platform of the Wanfo Kannon Tower, you can overlook the beautiful natural scenery of Boao. The temple also has many rare trees and flowers planted, including five Bodhi trees over 100 years old.
