Introduction

Tianlong Tunpu, located deep in the mountains of western Guizhou, has been an essential route to Yunnan since the Yuan Dynasty, hence its nickname "Yunnan's throat." In the early Ming Dynasty, when Zhu Yuanzhang marched south during his campaign against the north, Tianlong Tunpu became a military garrison for the Ming Army, with soldiers from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and a large number of Han craftsmen and civilians who migrated from Nanjing, Jiangxi, Anhui and other places. After 600 years of historical sedimentation, the people here still uphold the traditional Han culture. Visitors can discover that the enclosed geographical environment has preserved the style of the Ming Dynasty 600 years ago. The scenic area is divided into two parts: one on the mountain preserves the remains of Wu Sangui, and the other is the Tunpu itself. Although the scale of the Tunpu is not large and does not seem luxurious, with few tourists, visitors can enjoy rare tranquility.
