Introduction

It is said that Laozi, the founder of Taoism in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, once lived and practiced here, which is why the mountain was named Laojun Mountain. It is the main peak of the Funiu Mountains and has an altitude of over two thousand meters, with many official temples and shrines. In ancient times, it was regarded as a sacred place of Taoism. Of course, there are also local specialties for sale in the scenic area, as well as famous landmarks such as the statue of Laozi riding a cow and the golden statue of Taishang Laojun.

Transportation
Shuttle: Take the bus from Longmen Passenger Transport Center west of Longmen Station in Luoyang to Luanchuan County. Tell the driver to get off at "Yangzikou" and it takes about 2 hours to arrive. Driving: Go south from Luoyang City and take the "Lu-Luan Expressway" for 140 kilometers until you reach "Heyu Town" on National Highway 311. Continue west along National Highway 311 for about 10 kilometers and you will see the advertising sign for "Yangzigou" scenic area in Luanchuan County. Turn south and after 5 kilometers, enter the "Yangzigou" scenic area and start hiking.
