Introduction

More than 300 years ago, the Buyi ancestors had already explored the Shenlong Cave, which was once a military fortress established by the local Buyi people to fight against bandits and officials, and therefore still has preserved military facilities. The local Buyi people regard this cave as a "holy cave." The cave is divided into two levels of dry caves and one level of water caves, and the lower level's underground river is directly connected to the Huangguoshu Waterfall. The halls inside the cave are connected, and the karst caves are intertwined, with more than 100,000 stalactites, some of which are large enough to require ten people to hug, while others are small as embroidery needles.
