Luoyang Museum of Ancient Tombs and Sites
3.9

Introduction

In 2003, a large number of chariot and horse pits from the Zhou Dynasty were excavated in Wangcheng Square, becoming a major discovery in the field of archaeology in the 21st century. The chariot and horse pits were of grand scale, with various types of chariots arranged neatly and uniquely, making it the only "Jia Sixth" site in the world. The exhibition hall is divided into two areas, the Heaven Emperor's chariot and horse pit exhibition hall and the Zhou Dynasty cultural relics exhibition area, with valuable archaeological materials from the excavation of the Zhou Dynasty city hanging on the walls. The exhibition truly demonstrates the wealth and prosperity of the Zhou Dynasty.
