Introduction

Qifeng Park is located on Huangqi Mountain, 4 kilometers south of Guancheng, Dongguan, covering a total area of 1,600 acres. The park combines natural and cultural landscapes, including mountain forests, artificial lakes, botanical gardens, ancient temples, monasteries, and the famous Lianquan Spring. As a witness to the history of Dongguan, Qifeng Park is an excellent place for visitors to enjoy the scenery and learn about the local culture. "Hanging lanterns on the top of Huangqi Mountain" is known as the first of Dongguan's eight scenic spots. At the Huangqi Guanyin Temple at the foot of the mountain, there is a traditional ancient well called "Lianquan". Legend has it that drinking water from Lianquan can make people possess the virtue of integrity. During major holidays, large crowds of tourists gather here. Huangqi Mountain is an important famous mountain in Dongguan, known as the ancestral mountain, main mountain, town mountain, Wenbi Peak and Chao Mountain, and has been famous in Lingnan region since the Tang Dynasty. Since the Tang Dynasty, Huangqi Mountain has been a sacred place for Dongguan people to spring outing and climb mountains, and it has also been promoted to one of Dongguan's eight scenic spots since the Ming Dynasty. In the late Ming Dynasty, Zhang Jiayu, a heroic anti-Qing warrior, climbed to the top of Huangqi Mountain at the age of nine and vowed to become a first-class person, using his life to achieve this feat and setting an example for the people of Dongguan to encourage progress and strive for national glory.
