Introduction

Haoyue Garden, located on the eastern side of Gulangyu Island, was built to commemorate the historical achievements of Zheng Chenggong in expelling the Dutch and recovering Taiwan. Its name comes from the phrase "Hao Yue" in Zheng Chenggong's poem "Thinking of you, unable to sleep, the bright moon shines through the window". The most striking feature of the garden is the statue of Zheng Chenggong, which is ten times his actual height! Haoyue Garden is very close to Xiamen Island and is the best vantage point for taking pictures of the Jinmao Twin Towers.

Transportation
Bus: Transfer to Xigong passenger ferry at Xiamen downtown and get off at "Gulangyu Piano Pier" station. It's an 8-minute walk from there.
