Introduction

Sunlight Rock is the highest point of Gulangyu Island and one of its famous attractions. From the mountain top of Sunlight Rock, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of the beautiful scenery, including the whole island of Gulangyu and part of Xiamen city, making it an excellent place to watch sunrise and sunset. The scenic spot inside Sunlight Rock, Sunlight Rock Temple, is one of the four famous temples in Xiamen. The temple was originally located in a cave, and later was topped with the largest rock as its roof. If you want to avoid crowds, it's better to visit Sunlight Rock before 9:00 am or after 5:00 pm in the evening. During this time, you can enjoy the stunning views of sunrise and sunset, which are definitely worth a look.
