Introduction

The former residences of Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo are the fourth batch of key national cultural relics protection units. They are important historical relics and representative architecture of modern times. The residences are a group-style architecture, including Fenghao House, Little Western-style House, and Yutai Salt Store, etc. The interior layout is traditional, presenting a front courtyard, back hall, and two side halls, four inner halls structure. The building structures are connected to each other, and the column walls are ink pillars with vermillion walls, with gorgeous and spectacular decorations. The design of the front hall and the three gardens on the left and right is also very sophisticated, and there is also the Chiang ancestral temple and Chiang mother's tomb. The hallways and corridors are full of carvings and paintings, among them, the Baoben Hall hangs the plaque with Chiang Kai-shek's handwritten expression "To respect parents is a way of morality" and "Incorporating morals and charisma".
