Introduction

Karaku Lake is located at the foot of the Muztagh Peak, and is named "Black Lake" due to its deep and dark water color. The lake is surrounded by vast grasslands where cows and sheep graze in the spring and summer, and waterbirds, wild ducks, and swans swim on the lake. Under the sun's reflection, the lake's water changes colors, reflecting the majestic Muztagh Peak, making it breathtakingly beautiful. According to legend, there may be a water monster in the lake, but it has not been confirmed. The color of the lake water changes at different times. Most of the time, the lake water is clear and transparent like a mirror; when dark clouds gather, the lake water becomes deep and dark, highlighting its function as the "Black Lake". When the sun rises in the morning, the color of the lake water changes again: sometimes clear and blue, sometimes pale yellow and elegant, and sometimes fiery orange-red, like a fairyland.
