Introduction

Houtouwan is located on two islands and is one of the villages with the best water quality in the area. The entire village is nestled in the mountains and covered with lush ivy, like a small town hidden in a valley. Although facing the sea, the whole village appears desolate and uninhabited due to its proximity to a cemetery, and is jokingly called "ghost village" by local residents. Due to long-term lack of inhabitants, many of the small buildings built during the village's heyday have been abandoned, including the Lin Fa-pillow family and the only two households remaining in the village. These buildings are entwined with green plants and vines, as well as beautiful green trees and shrubs, making Houtouwan a fairy tale-like wonderland that attracts a large number of tourists to admire its natural beauty.
