Introduction

There are over 500 different species of deciduous trees here, including ginkgo, Magnolia denudata, and Liquidambar formosana, which are known as "living fossils" of rare plants. Not only that, but also ancient wild animals such as clouded leopard, musk deer, macaque, and muntjac live and inhabit here. Apart from the mountains and wild landscapes, there are Yao ancient villages and Buyi ethnic villages, as well as the Laqiao Water Village where you can experience the customs and performances of ethnic minorities. Due to its very low level of commercial development, this is an excellent place to enjoy natural and original ecological beauty, and also a paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Carpooling: Usually there will be a day trip offered to Maolan, and you can sign up at the tourist distribution center beside the new bus station. A day trip including round-trip transportation and tickets costs 128 yuan during peak season. After arriving, it is recommended to register directly with them. They will confirm the details one night in advance and will take you to all the attractions.
