Introduction

Located on Dingdu Peak in Tanzhe Temple Town, Mentougou District, Beijing, Dingdu Ge has a total area of 550 square meters and a construction area of approximately 2,400 square meters. It is 33.9 meters high and has six floors. Its exterior presents a three-story traditional Chinese architectural style. Dingdu Peak is located on the top of Shishan Mountain in Sangyu Village, northeast of Mentougou District. It reaches an altitude of 680 meters and is located on the extension line of Chang'an Avenue to the west. The mountain is surrounded by mountains, with towering peaks and rocky cliffs, and is known as the "first peak for viewing the western suburbs of Beijing" and "if one has not visited Dingdu Peak, one has not truly visited Beijing". According to legend, Yao Guangxiao once climbed Dingdu Peak and based on his measurements of the topography, he built Beijing City, hence the name Dingdu Peak. Ming Dynasty Emperor Zhu Di also climbed the mountain and praised the beautiful scenery, saying, "This peak is a unique and heavenly blessing for viewing scenery."
