Introduction
Waxiang is located in the southwest of Beijing, about 120 kilometers from the city center. It is located in Tangshan Village, a red tourism base in Xia Yunling Township on the east, adjacent to Shidu Scenic Area on the south, which is known as "Little Guilin" for its spectacular mountains and waters. To the west is the Jiulong Scenic Area of the national Yanshanpo Scenic Area, and to the north is Qiaocun Village in Jiulong Town, Hebei Province. Waxiang has a high terrain, surrounded by mountains, with an altitude ranging from 407 meters to 1870 meters, hence known as the "Little Tibet" of Beijing. The total area of Waxiang is about 96 square kilometers, with about 1177 acres of arable land and about 115,000 acres of actual forest area. The forest coverage rate reaches 67.7%, and the vegetation coverage rate is about 86%.
