Introduction
Experts called the Dulongjiang Canyon a "natural wild plant museum". The area is one of the best-preserved primitive ecologies in China, located on the border between northwest Yunnan and Myanmar. The canyon is steep, with the Gaoligong Mountains on the eastern bank blocking the road to the outside world, and the Danglung Ga on the western bank serving as a natural barrier on the border. The canyon is cut off from the outside world each year when heavy snow blocks the entrance. The town of Liuku is over 600 kilometers away from Kunming, and there are long-distance buses directly to Kunming.
