Introduction

In Quanzhou, Fujian, there is a grand-scale Guandi Temple located adjacent to Tumen Street and Qingjing Temple (another one: Dongshan Tongling Guandi Temple). Every year, hundreds of thousands of people come to these two places to pray for blessings and burn incense, including overseas Chinese and Taiwanese. The Guandi culture in Quanzhou is an important part of Minnan culture and Min-Taiwan culture, and plays a key role in promoting cross-strait people-to-people exchange and enhancing mutual understanding.
