Introduction
Located in Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province, at the intersection of the Loess Plateau and Inner Mongolia Plateau, the Mu Us Desert and the Ordos Basin, the Red Lake Alkaline Lake Scenic Area is the largest desert freshwater lake in China, with an altitude of about 1100 meters. The lake is triangular in shape with an area of 41.8 square kilometers, and there are seven seasonal rivers flowing into it. The average depth of the lake is about 8.2 meters, with a maximum depth of 12 meters. The continental monsoon climate here has unique natural scenery. Red Lake Alkaline Lake was designated as a provincial-level scenic spot in Shaanxi Province in 1995 and currently meets the national "AAAA" level scenic spot standards. Transportation Car: Take a bus from Yulin North Station to Shenmu, and there is a small minibus specifically for going to Hongjiannao in Shenmu.
