Introduction

Bagongshan is a beautiful historical and cultural mountain with an area of about 108km2. There are more than 40 peaks in the scenic area, with beautiful scenery and lush trees. It has rich historical and cultural significance. In the "Battle of Feishui" more than 1600 years ago, the outnumbered army won and became a famous war story. Over 2000 years ago, King Huainan Liu An recruited talents, lectured, and wrote the famous work "Huainanzi", recorded 24 solar terms, and invented delicious tofu. At the same time, Bagongshan is also an important site for the excavation of ancient biological fossils, with "Huainan insects" fossils, being one of the earliest biological fossils in the world. Many literati and poets throughout the ages have visited Bagongshan, such as Liu An, Li Bai, Su Shi, Ouyang Xiu, Liu Yuxi, Wu Jun, and Wei Yingwu, leaving many beautiful poems. In order to protect and develop Bagongshan, the scenic area adheres to the principle of "scientific planning, strict protection, reasonable development, and sustainable utilization", and adheres to the development strategy of "tourism-oriented, industry-strong, and culture-promoting", striving to create a "cultural mountain, civilized mountain, ecological mountain, and life mountain". The scenic area has invested a lot of money to protect and develop scenic spots such as Bagongshan Stone Forest, Forgetfulness Valley, Han Huainan Palace, Shengxiantai, and White Pagoda Temple. At the same time, a Geological Museum has been built to display the characteristic geological landscape of Bagongshan National Geological Park.
