Introduction
Shilin Xia is located in the Pinggu district in the northeast of Beijing and is the core scenic area of the Huangsongyu Geopark. The scenic area features natural landscapes such as canyons, cliffs, stone forests, and waterfalls, with the four towering and magnificent Shilin peaks being particularly famous. Shilin Mountain and Canyon are the main attractions of the scenic area, with the former being divided into the front and back mountains. The front mountain mainly features forest scenery, while the back mountain is dominated by Shilin Lake, which offers a panoramic view for climbers. In addition to natural beauty, the scenic area also offers entertainment projects such as merry-go-rounds and white-water rafting.
It is important to note that snacks and drinking water cannot be purchased once you enter deep into the scenic area, so visitors need to prepare in advance. Transportation Bus: Take the 918 Express 1 to Pinggu District Hospital, and transfer to the No. 25 bus within the area. Get off at the Shilin Gorge stop.
