Jinshanling Great Wall is located at the border of Luanping County in Chengde City and Miyun County in Beijing, approximately 130 kilometers from downtown Beijing. It is a section of the Great Wall personally supervised by the famous Ming Dynasty general Qi Jiguang, who fought against the Japanese pirates. This section of the Great Wall is built along the rugged mountains, with a winding and picturesque route. The view from the Great Wall is very open and spectacular, making it the most beautiful and magnificent section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Furthermore, the Jinshanling Great Wall has not been extensively restored, so it still maintains its original appearance, giving it a rustic and pure feel compared to other parts of the Great Wall in Beijing. With fewer tourists, it offers a quiet and comfortable experience, making it an excellent choice for visiting the Great Wall in the outskirts of Beijing.
