Introduction

The Yaozhou Kiln Museum, located in Huangbao Town, is the location of the famous national key cultural relic protection site, the Yaozhou Kiln ruins. It is the largest ancient ceramic site museum in China, integrating site and relic displays, and ancient ceramic production process simulation demonstrations. The museum covers an area of 6,000 square meters, with an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters and houses over 500,000 cultural relics and fragments. The ruins exhibition area is divided into three protection halls--"Tang Dynasty tri-colored pottery workshop and kiln," "Song Dynasty porcelain workshop and kiln," and "Jin Dynasty porcelain workshop group"--which intuitively show the production scale and process of the kiln. The museum's main exhibition is divided into three parts and seven exhibition rooms. "Yaozhou Kiln History Exhibition" displays over a thousand cultural relics, reflecting the kiln's brilliant history of firing. "Demonstration Room" is a place where visitors can make ceramics by hand. "Reference Research Room" displays over a thousand types of specimens for professionals and college students to carry out internships and research. The Yaozhou Kiln Museum is dedicated to becoming a place to explore history, gain knowledge, experience beauty, and cultivate sentiment, as well as an important bridge connecting the past and the future. The kiln was created and fired during the Tang Dynasty, developed during the Five Dynasties, reached its peak during the Northern Song Dynasty, continued to fire during the Jin Dynasty, and finally ceased production at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, with a history of firing ceramics for over 800 years. With a vast site, numerous cultural relics, intact ruins, and rich cultural connotations, it is a rare world porcelain kiln site and a valuable ceramic cultural treasure trove.
