Introduction

Xiangwang Ancient Village, located in Wutong Lane, Sucheng District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, between the ancient Yellow River and the Grand Canal, is the birthplace of Xiang Yu, a leader of the Qin Dynasty peasant uprising army with the reputation of "Overcoming Mountains and Seas" and the king of Western Chu. It is the first tourist scenic spot and important cultural relic protection unit in China with Xiang Yu and Xiang family culture as its theme, and has been rated as a National AAAA-level scenic spot. Combining the palace and garden architectural styles with the Chu and Han cultures, Xiangwang Ancient Village was commemorated with a monument in the 40th year of Kangxi's reign, and the people of Xiang Yu's hometown planted parasol trees in Wutong Lane where he was born, erected a monument and built an archway in his honor, to commemorate this brave and heroic figure.
