Introduction

Hushi Ancient Residential House, located in Tianshui City, was the private residence of Hulaijin, an imperial examination candidate in the Ming Dynasty. It was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. Although it is a courtyard house, it is different from the traditional courtyard houses in Beijing. There are currently eight buildings, one drooping door, and three shadow walls in the Hushi residential house. The main buildings include the main hall and the rooms, which were originally built in the Ming Dynasty and renovated in the Qing Dynasty. It is currently one of the most complete preserved Ming Dynasty residential houses in Tianshui City.
