Introduction

Yuquan Temple, also known as Chongning Temple, is located at the foot of Tianjing Mountain in the north of Tianshui City. It is named after the clear and secluded Yuquan Spring on the mountain and is one of the famous Taoist palaces in China. The temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty, and most of the existing buildings were rebuilt in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Among them, the "Yuquan Xian Dong" in Yuquan Temple is one of the eight scenic spots in Qinzhou, and it is said to be the place where the three immortals of Lu, Liang, and Ma sat and buried. On the ninth day of the lunar new year, the locals celebrate Yuquan Temple at the temple fair, which is very lively. In addition, the temple collects 47 stone tablets from various dynasties, 11 stone tablets, and 34 brick carvings, which have high historical value. The most precious of these is the Yuan Dynasty's SMILODON Monument, with clear handwriting and detailed content. Experts in cultural relics have praised it as a "national" stone monument. There is also a rare square cursive calligraphy poem monument by Zhao Mengfu, a famous calligrapher in the Yuan Dynasty.
