Introduction

In Chengde City, Hebei Province, there is a former summer palace of Chinese Qing Dynasty emperors, which is also the most well-preserved classical imperial garden at present. It was built in 1703 and lasted for 89 years, consisting of imperial palaces and gardens, after the many years of expenditure by Emperor Kangxi, Emperor Yongzheng, and Emperor Qianlong. The whole garden is divided into four parts: the palace area, lake area, mountain area, and plain area, among which the palace area and lake area are the highlights of the summer resort. The garden contains 28 Mongolian yurts of different sizes, the imperial library Wenjin Pavilion, as well as buildings such as Yongyou Temple, Chunhao Xuan, and Suyun Yan, which are definitely worth a visit.

Last admission: 16:40 (Monday-Sunday from October 10th to March 31st of the following year) Note: On International Nurses Day (May 12th) and Chinese Doctor's Day (August 19th), the scenic area is free of charge for medical personnel across the country. Medical personnel with doctor or nurse practicing certificates, award certificates, or professional title certificates can enjoy free admission policy.

Transportation

[Public Transportation] 1. Take Bus No.15, No.19, No.29, or No.5, get off at Chengde Grand Theater Station. 2. Take Bus No.10, No.10 Interval, No.118, or No.118 Interval, get off at Xian Zai Bi Shu Shan Zhuang Station. [Internal Transportation] 1. The electric battery car around the lake is about 50 yuan, not recommended to take. The scenic spots around the lake are concentrated. Walking around the lake allows you to enjoy various scenic spots slowly. 2. The boat tour is about 50 yuan and has a shuttle nature. It doesn't make much sense as it just carries tourists from one side of the lake to the other. You can walk there yourself. 3. The mountain bike tour is about 50 yuan. The mountainous area in the Summer Resort is still quite large, so it is recommended to take it.
