Introduction

Dazha Monastery is a Gelugpa monastery that integrates the architectural features of the Han and Tibetan ethnic groups. The monastery is magnificent, with a library and exhibition hall inside, housing many ancient scriptures. Beside the stupa outside the main hall, you can see nearby Tibetans piously circling the stupa to pray for blessings, and Tibetans coming to bow to the Buddha. Climbing to the mountaintop behind the backyard of Dazha Monastery, you can overlook the panoramic view of Zoige County, especially the stunning scenery during sunset. Dazha Monastery is now open to the public with professional interpreters who can introduce all the buildings and artifacts one by one in standard Mandarin and English, providing great convenience for tourists to understand the mysterious religious culture. In addition, the monastery also raises some musk deer, which are gentle and lovely but sometimes temperamental and do not like to be disturbed. If you see any signs of their displeasure, it's best to move away quickly.
