Introduction

This native Rhododendron forest is located on the border of Dafang and Qianxi counties and is considered to be the largest area in China. The "Baili Rhododendron," named after it, is distributed on a narrow hill with a length of about 50 kilometers. The plant resources here are rich, with dozens of varieties of rhododendrons, among which the most surprising is the "one tree with different flowers," which can produce up to seven different varieties of flowers on the same tree. The scenic area is the main settlement of the Yi and Miao ethnic groups, and during the blooming season, there are colorful ethnic performances on several minority festival days.
