Introduction
Located on the western Qiang Mountains, the Shenmu Erlang Mountain is a scenic spot in Linzhou. The mountain has two protrusions in the middle of the mountain body, which resemble the humps of a camel and are commonly known as Camel Hump Mountain. The mountain has an elevation of 1082 meters and is known as the "Little Hua Shan" in northern Shaanxi, becoming a landmark of Shenmu County. The Kuye River and the Tuwei River converge in front of the mountain, while the Great Wall winds spectacularly behind the mountain. The west is a pine forest with mixed sand and stones, while the east is steep cliffs with towering pine and cypress trees. During the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Wu Zong of Ming Dynasty passed through Shenmu County and saw that the shape of the mountain resembled a penholder, so it was also called Penholder Mountain.
Visitors to Erlang Mountain can follow the tour route that includes the tourist service center, main entrance, Renyou Square, Prayer Corridor, Haoran Pavilion, Erlang Temple, Erlang Spring, Dragon Mother Temple, Temple of Gods, Xianjia Temple, Sanjiao Temple, Dazuo Guanyin Temple, and Cultural Exhibition Hall. Erlang Mountain has a strong religious atmosphere, and traditional temple fairs are held on the eighth day of the first lunar month, the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, and the 22nd day of the sixth lunar month every year, attracting a large number of worshippers and creating a lively atmosphere. Transportation Take the bus from Yulin Automobile North Station to Shenmu, and then take a taxi to the destination. For Shenmu 2/8 Bus Routes: Get off at Sports Center Station and walk 1.3 kilometers to the destination. For Shenmu 4 Bus Route: Get off at Erlangshan Scenic Area Station and walk about 841 meters to the destination. For Shenmu 10 Bus Route: Get off at Luotuofeng Station and walk about 2.0 kilometers to the destination.
