Introduction

Jingting Mountain is located on the banks of the Shuiyang River, 5 kilometers north of Xuanzhou City. It is a national forest park. Formerly known as Zhaoting Mountain, it was renamed Jingting Mountain in the early Jin Dynasty to avoid the taboo of Emperor Sima Zhao. It belongs to the Huangshan branch and stretches for more than 100 kilometers from east to west. There are about 60 peaks of various sizes, and the main peak is named Yifeng, with an altitude of about 317 meters. This mountain gained fame due to the poems "Yi Jingting Mountain" by Southern Qi poet Xie Tiao and "Sitting Alone on Jingting Mountain" by Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai. Since then, many literati and poets have come one after another, such as Bai Juyi, Du Mu, Han Yu, Liu Yuxi, Mei Yaochen, Tang Xianzu, Shi Runzhang, Mei Qing, and Mei Geng, who climbed the mountain to write poems and describe its natural scenery, expressing their inner feelings. According to preliminary statistics, the poems, writings, records, and paintings of Jingting Mountain sung by generations have reached thousands, and it is known as the "poetic mountain in Jiangnan" and enjoys a reputation at home and abroad.
