Introduction

This pass city is located in the northern part of Jixian County, and it is an important gateway of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall in Jizhen, as well as the only pass city in the entire county. Most of the rocks on the cliffs on the east side appear yellow-brown and emit golden light under the setting sun, hence the name "Yellow Cliff in the Evening Glow". Along the way from the Yellow Cliff Tianti Ancient Watchtower to Sanjiebei, the original structures of North Qi Border Wall and Ming Dynasty Mountain and Dangerous Wall, as well as complete buildings such as towers, watchtowers, beacon towers, and parapets, are preserved.
