Introduction

Huangze Temple, located on the bank of Jialing River in the west of Guangyuan City, is the only temple in China dedicated to the female emperor Wu Zetian, and enjoys the title of national cultural relic protection unit. Huangze Temple was originally built in the 22nd year of Guangzheng in the Later Shu Dynasty in 959 AD. Its most representative buildings include the "Zetian Gate" facing the river, the "Emperor's Hairdressing Tower", the "Music Tower", as well as the "Maitreya Buddha Hall" and "Iron Guanyin Hall".
