Introduction

Mount Yishan, once known as Dongshan, is one of the mountains where Confucius left behind famous sayings. Located 10 kilometers south of Zoucheng City, the hometown of Mencius, it is adjacent to the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway. With beautiful and unique natural scenery, it is known as the "Dainan wonder" and the "Zoulu beautiful spirit". Mount Yishan is characterized by stacked rocks and exquisite caves, embodying the magnificence of Mount Tai, the wonders of Huangshan, and the danger of Huashan. Its mountain peaks, caves, and other scenic spots are countless and ever-changing. During the Tang and Song dynasties, there were five wonders, seven dragon caves, eight sections of brocade, twelve blessed places, and twelve famous springs. During the Yuan and Ming dynasties, there were thirty-six wonders and the names of three hundred stones. During the Qing Dynasty, there were twenty-four scenic spots, thirty-six cave heavens, seventy-two temples, and a hundred scenic spots on Mount Yishan. In addition, Mount Yishan is also known as a "strategic location for military forces" and a "place for cultivating immortals".
