Introduction

Yuhua Palace Scenic Area is located inside Yuhua Mountain in the central part of Shaanxi Province, and is part of the Qiaoshan Mountain Range on the border of Shaanxi and Gansu. It is located 55 kilometers away from Huangdi Mausoleum and 120 kilometers away from Xi'an City with convenient transportation including highways, national roads, and railways. The total area of the scenic area is 230 square kilometers, and the planned phase one covers an area of 32 square kilometers. The forest coverage rate reaches 95.6%, mainly natural Chinese pine forest, one of the three largest Chinese pine forests in northwest China, with an elevation ranging from 1240 to 1671 meters. The average temperature is about 10 degrees lower than that of Xi'an, making it a natural summer resort. The scenic area has both beautiful natural scenery and a long history of cultural relics. It was once the summer palace for three generations of emperors in the Tang Dynasty, and the place where Tang Dynasty Buddhist monk Xuanzang translated Buddhist scriptures, propagated Buddhism, founded the Zen, and passed away. With grand momentum and officials gathering, it was once famous in Chang'an. Now it has become an AAAA-level tourist scenic spot, a national forest park, and a national key cultural relics protection unit. In recent years, the scenic area has been developed and constructed, using the forest as the background, Buddhism as the core culture, and different scenery and tourism activities in different seasons as its characteristics. It has initially formed a comprehensive tourist destination with green as the main tone.
