Introduction

Meligeng (meaning "clever" in Mongolian) Natural Ecological Scenic Area is located at the southern foot of the Yin Mountains in Ural Mountains, only 30 kilometers away from the west of Baotou and adjacent to Bayannur City. It covers a wide area and is characterized by granite mountains, waterfalls, and plant landscapes. Visitors can explore the Meiligeng Gorge, Shibaoke Tu Gorge, Xigou Gorge and challenge the mountain peaks (the main peak Dahua Bei reaches an altitude of 2,324 meters), enjoying a mountain climbing journey. Between the narrow mountain walls, countless springs and waterfalls form a beautiful scene, among which the Meiligeng Waterfall is a rare natural spring waterfall in northern China, reaching a height of 66 meters. The pleasant climate of Meiligeng and the variety of seasons make it an excellent destination for admiring natural beauty.
