Introduction

Tieshan Temple Scenic Area, located at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, is the largest and best-preserved wildlife kingdom in Jiangsu province. Within the scenic area, the secondary forest covering approximately 61.58 square kilometers and the pure Tianquan Lake covering approximately 9 square kilometers create a unique microclimate environment. Over 40 species of wildlife, 170 species of birds, 280 species of higher plants, and over 800 species of medicinal herbs, mostly representing marginal species in the South-North region, can be found here, making Tieshan Temple a natural gene bank of flora and fauna. The scenic area is full of natural landscapes such as mountains, forests, springs, lakes, stones, and caves as well as complete entertainment, leisure, and health projects. Tieshan Temple Forest Resort is under restoration, and the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has settled within the scenic area. Tourists can participate in science education tourism and practical teaching activities in science education parks, Jurassic parks, peacock international clubs, and student quality education bases.
