Introduction
Jiaoshan Mountain is located on the Great Wall of China and is known as the "number one mountain of the Great Wall". Qixian Temple is a famous cultural relic in the area, which used to be a place where literati and scholars in the Ming and Qing Dynasties would go to study and escape the summer heat. The scenic area covers an area of 3 square kilometers, and combines natural mountain scenery, the essence of Great Wall architecture, and Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism culture. The scenic area also has a cable car to overlook the magnificent scenery of enemy platforms and rolling mountains, as well as to visit ancient temples and meteorological wonders. The scenic area has been named a "National Forest and Geological Park" by the National Forestry Department and Geological Department, and is the first batch of national 4A-level tourist scenic spots, a patriotic education base in Qinhuangdao City, a national cultural relic protection unit, and a world cultural heritage site. The scenic area has distinct seasons, with spring flowers, summer greens, autumn winds, and winter snows, and features attractions such as Erlong Playing with Pearl, Natural Giant Buddha, Jiaoshan Great Wall Site, Qixian Temple, and Dapingding. Visitors can enjoy the sceneries like "Mountain Temple Rainy Season", "Ruilianpeng Day", "Buddha Light", and Yunhai. On the Dapingding platform, visitors can overlook the Liao-Shen Plain to the east, Jieshi Wufeng and Yanse Lake to the west, the vast sea to the south, and the steep cliffs and peculiar stones to the north. The scenic area holds "Spring Outing Festival" and "Climbing Festival" in spring and autumn each year, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
