Shanhaiguan is the first pass under heaven
Shanhaiguan, also known as "Yuguan", is a national demonstration area for civilized scenic tourism. It is located 15 kilometers northeast of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, and brings together the essence of the ancient Great Wall of China. It was considered the starting point of the eastern end of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall before 1990 and is known as the "First Pass Under Heaven."
Beidaihe Seaside (including Pigeon's Nest Park)
Beidaihe is located in the western part of Qinhuangdao city in Hebei province, only 2-3 hours' drive from Beijing and Tianjin. It has beautiful beaches and a pleasant climate, making it China's most famous summer resort and recuperation destination. It has no scorching summers or harsh winters. With the lush mountains of Lianfeng as its backdrop, Beidaihe boasts a beautiful natural environment. It forms a golden tourist route with Beijing, Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Xingcheng, and Huludao, and Beidaihe is located at the junction of this tourist route.
Chengde Mountain Resort
The Mountain Resort is one of the three major ancient architectural complexes in China. Its biggest feature is the combination of mountains and gardens. There are over 120 groups of buildings, with Kangxi composing 36 scenes with four characters and Qianlong composing 36 scenes with three characters. These are the famous 72 scenes of the resort.
Baiyangdian
Anxin Baiyangdian Scenic Area, located in the central part of Hebei Province, is the largest inland lake in Hebei, with a total area of 366 square kilometers. It is situated in the hinterland of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, 189 kilometers south of Shijiazhuang, 162 kilometers north of Beijing, and 155 kilometers east of Tianjin. Anxin Baiyangdian Scenic Area is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, known for its abundant resources and beautiful scenery since ancient times. It is praised as "a place of abundant wealth" and "autumn in all seasons," and is renowned for being the "Jiangnan of the North" and the "land of fish and rice." Jiang Zemin personally wrote an inscription for it: "The Pearl of North China - Baiyangdian".
Yeshanpo is a famous tourist destination in northern China with a national-level scenic spot. It has unique natural scenery, pure ecological environment, ancient historical relics with unique characteristics, and rich ethnic customs. The BaiLi Gorge, known as the "Number One Gorge in the World," is one of the distinctive scenic areas in Yeshanpo.
Laoyuan Baishi Mountain National Geopark
The Baishi Mountain Scenic Area, also known as Baishi Mountain National Geological Park, is located 15 kilometers south of Laiyuan County. It is named after its abundance of white marble and showcases magnificent, unique, and treacherous mountain landscapes. The mountain is tall, with "three peaks, six terraces, nine valleys, and eighty-one peaks." The main ridge is over 7,000 meters long, and the highest peak is 2,096 meters above sea level, making it the head of the northwest uplift of the North China Plain.
Yudao Kou Grassland Forest Scenic Area
It is an excellent destination for ecotourism activities such as grassland sightseeing, bird watching, horseback riding, fishing, boating, campfire entertainment, off-road racing, scientific exploration, leisure vacation, conferences, ice skating, skiing, hunting, etc.
